About
Kelly DeVore & Apostrophe Design Group is a creative consultancy rooted in story — the stories people carry, the identities they’re stepping into, and the spaces they inhabit along the way.
Founded by designer and strategist Kelly O’Gorman DeVore, the studio’s name is a nod to her own:
“My maiden name was O’Gorman — and for most of my life, I’d spell it aloud as ‘O, apostrophe, G.’ That tiny punctuation mark always stood out to me. It wasn’t just a symbol — it meant something belonged. Something had history. Something had weight.”
Apostrophe Design continues that tradition:
to design with meaning, with intention, and with reverence for what has come before — and what’s coming next.
With experience in design research, interiors, branding, and architecture, DeVore is able to see design & organizational efficiencies and solutions clearly, and those skills have given her the ability to lead discussions around difficult topics, find new solutions to old problems, and create organizational structures where (sometimes) they don't exist.
Kelly DeVore’s artistic practice uses the past journals of her maternal grandmother, who meticulously documented the mundaneness of motherhood in Missouri in the 1960s and 70s. Fascinated by language, story, and history, DeVore codes her grandmother’s memories as she links them to her own experiences of loss and motherhood, through the use of embroidery, collage, graphite, and cloth/quilting methods.
Her consulting work is primarily focused on residential interiors and small-businesses but she also takes on a few short-term-rental clients each year.
